Chad was an elementary student of Maryland Academy. He is one of the smartest and as a matter of fact, running for valedictorian. Since birth his hobby is reading, studying, writing composition and experimenting. Would you think his a nerd? Actually no, he is a campus heartthrob and not a geek. With his intelligence, good looks, fascinating eye and silent disposition, girls were captivated and hypnotized. However he had never been close to any one in their school except his best friend, Tina, his childhood friend. Some says his a sissy, others admire him more. Nevertheless, no matter what they say, only Tina knew him better and so life must go on for him.
Chad and Tina were the geniuses in the academy that’s why they are tasked to compete in an essay writing a month before their commencement. Since they are graduating students, speculations of their next school and rival is of great interest. One of them is from Fanta University. However, they are not threatened by these expectations except for Tina who is very scared of Halley from Fanta University, intelligent and with good looks so as with Chad. Tina is not scared actually of Halley but for Chad, who can be defeated by Halley. Until…
The National State Essay Writing Grant had come. Everyone had been cramming except Chad and Halley. Halley is reading a pocket book while Chad is strolling in the playground. While Chad is swaying thee swing, a lady joined him named Brooke. She is also a contender. Brook shared her I-pod to Chad but they never talk too much after a handshake and introducing their names. A second before the contest, all are prepared including Tina and Brooke apart from for Chad and Halley. Chad is playing his cellular phone while Halley is still reading a pocket book. They are both about to enter the same room, the contest hall, when they bump to each other. Halley was totally hurt to fall in her knees and so the gentleman lends a hand to the lady. Chad has never felt the way he bumped Halley, just like a spark in his flaming eyes. His hearts beats like an ember setting a fire. It’s like a love at first sight, puppy love or shall I say first love but what ever they say it, it’s totally love. The next thing that happens is a faint light striking in the face of Chad in just a splash. Chad had by no means encountered this way absolutely. As Halley introduces her name…"Hey, I’m Halley. Would you mind to bring to a halt shaking my hand?". Nervously he answers, "Yeah…yeah. Ahhm, sure! I’m Chad". Then suddenly the bell rang as loud cheers filled the room teasing the two students. The proctor comes in while Chad was sitting between Tina and Halley. While the proctor was writing the theme on the board, all was shocked. Absolutely surprised upon reading, Love: unconditional infinite feeling as a key to world peace. Students are being panicked but they must go on or the chance will be eaten by the golden bars of time. Chad simply looking in the 2 ladies, Brooke and Halley, is being motivated, inspired writing freely and then…”Kriiing! The contest has ended. Later on that day, the result had finally arrived announcing the winner Tina, seconded by Chad and Halley, followed by Brooke in the third place. Chad felt sad that time, lonely not because he loses but the time was so short to be acquainted with someone else.
Months passed, they have graduated elementary, it end up Chad being the valedictorian, followed by Tina. In Fanta University Grade School, Halley winds up as valedictorian so as Chad while in Sta. Barbara Learning Center. Brooke garnered salutatorian. Next thing is junior high. Chad and Tina went up for the same institution, unexpectedly of the same school as Halley. Brooke was enrolled in a private exclusive for girls’ school but not a hindrance for getting in touch with Chad with a cellular phone. Brooke got Chad’s number from her new classmate who was Chad’s schoolmate in elementary.
Since then, Brooke and Chad had been friends. Tina and Halley were also the best of friend although in academic, the three of them leads the group. They were the greatest enemies inside the class, but after all friends outside. On the other hand, Brooke and Chad were more than friends but less than lovers. And during their 9 months studying, Tina and Halley had a misunderstanding so they end up, as just they don’t know each other. The reason is so complicated. Going back to what we had started, Chad admires Halley since then but coz of the enmity in academic, Chad’s feelings for Halley ends. This feeling of admiration no one knew except his once again best friend Tina.
Even with just a cellphone as a form of communication, they feel so intense and intimate. A feeling couldn’t be explained. They usually see each other in church. Until such time Chad had finally fallen in love with Brooke and start courting, only Tina knew that thing. However, Brooke’s answer to Chad is not constant saying she had never felt in love the way Chad feel. She treats Chad as a special friend, more than that I hope so. But she says Chad must keep up and only time will dictates. Coz of that, Chad felt so eager, rushing in to a mere less stable relationship. Since Chad and Tina are best of friends, Tina needs more attention of his friend that’s why Chad focuses too much in her. They spend more time together, bonding; hang out, playing, studying and anything. They are comfortable that way, they are always thought as lovers. But the rumors and misinterpretations end as a prediction, which by the end of the school year come true. Chad fell in love once again for Tina but coz he started courting Brooke, he hides his feeling, a feeling like a bomb going to explode. While he is step-by-step simply making up with Tina, a rumor saying that Brooke is going to accept Chad as his boyfriend fills the school. So this makes the story more complicated. Not just because he fell in love with someone after he courted the one, but because that someone doesn’t knew that stuff. Secretly, Chad loved Tina more than a friend. During their 3rd year, Chad disregarded the rumor and is going to propose his love for Tina and stop courting Brooke. But a call from Brooke saying “Now that I fell in love with you, would you still fall for me!”, surprised Chad. Chad did not answer the question but reply only an I-love-you. Nights passed, Chad is still thinking of the two, of which will he going to choose. He begin his unmindful and sleepless nights.
In their last year in school, Chad needs distance and space from Tina and Brooke so that he could think widely. He now goes out with Halley. They were enemies inside the class but friends outside. Since then, they become friends. But as we all know, prolong exposure leads to a handful contact… Physics, right? During their elementary, Chad really admires Halley and everyone knew that. Now that he had a chance to be with Halley, would he ignore Brooke and Tina? Their classmate also teased them but they stay as friends. But what if Chad fall in love once again with Halley? It sounds like a double trouble.
Which one is justified and more intense? Is it the past Chad started, which will chain him forever? Or the future which feeds his desire and he wanted before? Or the present he begins as friend and still where he is happy? All I can say is work with your past, go on with the future and be happy with the present. But how could it be?…No one knows. But all he wants right now is freedom in this mystery of love.#
