Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College is one of the leading institutions in the province of Sultan Kudarat. It’s a name to recommend when we talk about quality education. But it is not just the school; it’s the student that takes it to lead. They are the students who have been carefully screened to pass the entrance examination. Well, not to mention, they are also the smartest of the smartest. They have the brain to compete with others. A brain, that thinks smartly and outstands above all. No doubt to say, it is the home for knowledge and wisdom. Several students have been contending in academic. Some have take the challenge of opposing others in the field of Math, Science, Filipino and Social Studies. Others have reached national and regional level contest. And many had won. But is it only the brain or intelligence that takes us SKPSCians to be astig?…

Let’s start with beauty and gorgeousness… All those who read this item are pretty and magnificent, right? But there are also personalities who are above all. They are the gals with smooth complexion, mesmerizing eyes capable of the deepest emotion, and charm that allows them to give off an exotic appeal to men. Although beauty is seen commonly in physique, there are some who distinguish it in the inner being. A good attitude and disposition, which make them more amiable to men and easy to reach but not easy to get. Behavior is a thing that matters in the end, like in the fairytales and fantasy’s happy ending, right? But in SKPSC, love stories end happier, why is it so? Coz in Poly beauty is not differentiated with behavior, as a matter of fact they are all in one in Poly ladies. Isn’t it happy to end up with someone who is pretty and kind? Next are guys, it is hard to find gentleness, good looks and handsomeness all in one. However in our school, where ‘birds of the same feathers flocks together’, men of your dreams are being scattered (?). They are the guy-next-door, girls where looking for, and boyfriend material…(so as I)…

Proceed to the talent portion…! In a regional affair, I’ve heard some student’s saying…Grabe ang SKPSC noh! Hakot awards ever, talented abi moh!… It’s nice and flattering to hear those compliments. Nevertheless, let’s stay humble even they are saying the truth and precise…(charr!). WE SKPSCians are not just geniuses and beauty king and queen, other than also dugong-artista. That’s why where on earth you go, be proud to say you’re an SKPSCian. Coz wherever, whenever, anytime, anywhere, prepared or not, Poly is up to perform. No matter rain or shine, the show must go on. Oratorical competitions, dance contests, storytelling, extemporaneous speech, essay writing, comical play, painting, socio-cultural activities; name it all, SKPSC can show up their talents in any field.

Is it all that? Beauty, brain and behavior and talents…? No, no, no, no don’t lie.
Some says, Poly are maarti, ingrata, pagwapa-pagwapo and pabright-bright. Let’s prove them wrong, we are also sporty, athletic, rockista, and funky. Have you ever played with college students? I’m sure they are tough but we are tougher, right? Inter-campus sports fest, city meet, mayor’s cup, CRAA, governor’s cup, etc; what’s the big deal? If we have the fighting spirit to do our best, we will never lose. If we are defeated, in the end we are still winners for as long as we never quit, portals of opportunity never close. SKPSCians are also music lovers. We have the best singers and vocalists; guitarist, mapa-lead man o base; keyboards; drummers; and back-up dancers (hehe).

SKPSCians couldn’t be that flexible without the help of their mentors. As far as I know, only in Poly, students encountered a teacher who never uses a book for years. Only here, a teacher gives an activity daily before lecturing. But these teachers are not just good in teaching, also in recreational activities like dancing, singing, and etc.. That‘s why we are very thankful for them for molding us to be who we are. Kudos madams and sirs.

SKPSCians are exceptional because they are with God; undefeated coz they trust God; and proud & dignified for He is not behind us but in us.

In the end, Poly students are versatile. Equilibrium of what they have. Having BEAUTY, BRAIN, BEHAVIOR, TALENT, sport-minded BODY and GOD are what it takes to be versatile. We, SKPSCians are versatile. So when you hear someone doubts and say POLY?, just answer them Versatile, AZTIG Eh! Daw CHOI...!
